I also like to add that int 2000s, the Internet has brought more separation to the family as kids are playing more on their computers than spending time with their family or human friends. I am not against technology but we are losing our family and human ties to each other and the society.

I simply wanted to tell you how much I actually appreciate anything you've contributed to help increase the value of the lives of people in this theme. Through the articles, we have gone via just a newbie to a professional in the area. It can be truly a homage to your efforts. Thanks

Such a great article it was which a similar logic applies to auto-centric policies that dictate what American towns and cities look like. Sprawl is essentially a government program that began right after WW II when the federal government subsidized mortgage deductions, highways, and cheap gasoline to encourage suburban growth. Thanks for sharing this article.

Totally agree. I started and helped administer a local food coop for years. Not only do food coops make quality food affordable, they also provide social connection. Be well, thanks for your comment.

Don't forget Food Coops! When you shop at a local food coop, you can be sure that the products support your values, and that the store is working to strengthen the local food web on many levels.

Thank you for sharing what most of us already know in our hearts but often our heats allow our minds to much freedom for old habits and patterns.

Hi John- I meant to reply awhile ago. The Wanns I link to are from Indiana: Harry V. Wann and his father Lucius Cassius Wann from Terre Haute. My father went to DePauw University in Greencastle, as I did, then we moved to the NYC area.

Keep up your good work with sustainability stuff, and let's stay in touch!
